Panel Discussion
On November 17, 2008 the Eta Chapter of Omicron Tau Theta hosted a panel discussion entitled “An Introduction to Career and Technical Education”, designed to introduce the topic to students across all the teacher licensure programs at Ohio State. Eight panel members, all graduates of various Ohio State CTE programs, discussed specific questions about their respective CTE programs including:
• What are the goals and objectives of CTE courses and programs?
• How does CTE fit in within the broader K-12 system?
• How do CTE courses and programs connect with traditional academic disciplines?
Twenty-five people attended the discussion in the PAES Building, including a group of visiting scholars from Indonesia.
