Assessment in Counseling: Interpretation
Dr. Darcy Haag Granello, LPCC-S
“The answers you get depend on the questions you ask.”
~Thomas Kuhn
Assessment is the key to any intervention. To use a medical analogy, “Why work on the right leg, when the left leg is broken?” (Gottman, 2005). I love that - it sums up what we will do in this class - help clients figure out what are the issues, and how can we use the clients ipsitive strengths to help him/her work through them. Neat! I’m looking forward to this class - See you in January!
